Running bookings
The Bookings page shows every appointment, whether a customer booked online or you added them at the desk. Day opens first. Day and Week are calendars. Upcoming is the list.
Day, Week, and Upcoming
Day is one day, and it opens first. Each person has a column, and the clock starts when you open. A photo shows by their name when they have one. A booking is a block as long as the service. Time off shows on the calendar too, so a gap is either free or blocked.
Week is the same kind of calendar, with one column per day. The block shows the customer and who the booking is with.
Upcoming is the list, when you want to read what is ahead without the clock. Tap a booking to confirm it, mark it done, or check out. Tap an empty time to add someone. Drag a booking to another time or another person, or drag the bottom of the block to change how long it is.
A booking, start to finish
- Requested. A customer booked online and you haven't confirmed it yet. Tap Confirm when you've had a look. If you'd rather not do this every time, turn on Confirm bookings automatically in Business settings.
- Confirmed. They're on the schedule. Customers get an email when they book and a reminder about a day before.
- Done. Tap this when they've had their appointment. If they still owe money, tap Checkout next.
- No-show. They didn't turn up.
- Cancel. Use this if they called to cancel, or something came up on your end.
Adding a walk-in or phone booking
- 1Tap an empty time on the calendar, or tap Walk-in.
- 2Pick the service and who'll do it. A time you tapped is already filled in. Otherwise you'll only see times that person is free.
- 3Add their name. An email is optional, but with one they get the booking details and a reminder.
- 4Tap Add booking, or Add and check out if they're paying right now.
Booking a regular? Turn on Repeat weekly and pick how many weeks. If some of those weeks are already taken, we book the ones that are free and tell you which were skipped.
Tip
Walk-ins work even when online booking is paused.
Moving a booking to someone else
Drag the booking to another time, or onto someone else's column. On Week, drag it to another day. Drag the bottom edge if the appointment needs to be longer or shorter. You can also open the booking and use Move to when you only need to change the person.
Client notes
Open a booking to see how many times this person has visited, and to jot down anything worth remembering: the color formula, the bad knee, the coffee order. Notes stay with the client, so they're there next visit too. Everything you know about your regulars is also under Clients.
