Every business
Payouts
Payouts is where you connect the bank account that online customer payments go to. You only need it if customers will pay online. If everyone pays in person, you can skip it.
Setting it up
- 1Open Account (the person icon at the top), then Payouts.
- 2Tap Set up customer payments.
- 3Fill in your business and bank details. It takes about ten minutes, and you'll be brought back here when you're done.
You set this up once. Every business on your account uses the same payout account.
Heads up
You'll need a confirmed email. Customer card payments are included on every plan. If something still needs your attention, a banner at the top of Payouts says what it is.
What it costs
On Payouts, What a card payment costs lists both fees. On a free account, ServeSlate charges a 1% ServeSlate fee on each customer card payment. A subscription has no ServeSlate fee. You can add the 1% to the customer’s total in Business settings. Stripe's card processing fees are extra and come out of the payout. The money goes directly to your payout account.
Your ServeSlate subscription is separate. It's billed to you under My Subscription, not taken from customer payments.
Changing bank details and seeing payouts
Once payouts are ready, tap Manage payouts to see your bank details and payout history. That opens on this page.
Ordering a card reader
When payouts are ready, Shop card readers and View reader orders show up just below your payout account, in countries where Stripe ships readers.
Tap Shop card readers to order one. Stripe ships it, and you pay Stripe. That cost is separate from your ServeSlate subscription. View reader orders shows the orders you've placed, including shipping.
When the reader arrives, pair it under Set up › Devices. At checkout, tap Pay with card reader.
